Create Your First Tracking Link

In ClickMagick, go to Tracking Links > Add New Link. Here's what to fill in:

Link Name: Give it a descriptive name, e.g., "Google Ads — Campaign 1" or "Facebook — Summer Sale"

Destination URL: The URL where you want to send traffic — your landing page, affiliate offer, or product page

Primary Tracking Domain: Use ClickMagick's default domain (yourname.clkmg.com) or set up a custom domain for branded links

Click Save. ClickMagick will generate a tracking URL like: yourname.clkmg.com/linkname. Use this in your ads instead of the direct destination URL.

Add a Conversion Pixel

A conversion pixel tells ClickMagick when someone completes a desired action (purchase, opt-in, etc.). This is the most important step — without it, you can track clicks but not conversions.

Important: Place the conversion pixel on your thank-you page — the page visitors see after completing the action. Do NOT place it on the form page or checkout page, or it will fire before the conversion is complete.

Go to Tracking Links: Find your tracking link in the dashboard and click on it to open the settings.

Click "Pixels": In the link settings, find the Pixels section and click "Add Pixel."

Select "Action Pixel": Choose "Action Pixel" as the pixel type. This fires when a conversion occurs.

Copy the pixel code: ClickMagick will generate a small JavaScript snippet. Copy it.

Paste on your thank-you page: Add the pixel code to the <head> section of your order confirmation or thank-you page.

Test Your Setup

Before sending real traffic, verify everything is working correctly:

You should be redirected to your destination URL

Check your ClickMagick dashboard

You should see 1 click recorded under your tracking link

Complete the conversion action on your page

Submit the form, complete a test purchase, or trigger the conversion event

Check the dashboard again

You should see 1 conversion recorded. If both show up, your setup is working perfectly!

Troubleshooting: If clicks are not recording, check that your tracking link URL is correct. If conversions are not recording, verify the pixel is on the right page (thank-you page, not the form page) and that the ClickMagick tracking script is installed on that page.
